purchase advising what you will need to do with each mobile phone prior
to first use. In addition to practical information (such as charging the
battery) we will also provide information relating to functionality, peripherals,
network, operability and battery life.
We do not want customers to make ill informed purchases because it’s
a hassle for you and a hassle for us. As a result we encourage you to
take your time, have a good browse and use the information we have provided
before making your choice.
12 Point Checklist Testing Procedure Undertaken for
every Mobile Phone Sold by Retrofone
A stringent (manual) check of every phone is undertaken
- Condition of handset, Check for any cracks on the phone plastics on:
Front casing, Back casing, Headset plug, Charger plug & Antenna
Keypad is in good condition (all numbers are visible and the buttons
are not faded).
- Power-on with charged battery
Can receive charge on mains charger
- Check phone for fading screen (by pressing firmly down with both thumbs
on the screen itself) If the screen flickers it has a problem called
“screen fade” and is failed.
- All buttons work on the phone.
- Walk and talk can be used with headset.
- Battery connector is in good condition.
- Unlock phone (some faulty phones will not unlock). This is then a
failed phone.
- Signal strength - indicator should register over half (May depend
on transmitter strength in the area) Check with 2 sim cards to verify
phone is unlocked.
- Make call
- Receive call
- Reset Welcome Note to standard & Reset Factory Settings
- Erase Phone book & Erase Messages
One Month Guarantee
Please note that the handsets shown may not be the exact handset you
purchase. However, we guarantee that your mobile will be the same colour
and make and in the same or better condition than the photograph displayed.
If for any reasons you are dissatisfied with your purchase then you can
take advantage of our 30 day ‘return to base’ warranty.
The IMEI number of all handsets sold is logged allowing us to trace all
handsets sold by Retrofone Ltd. The warranty is provided for 30 days from
receipt of goods. If we are contacted outside of this period then we will
not be able to provide a replacement or refund. Please refer to our full
