| Retrofone have five years experience in
the used mobile handset market providing consumers and businesses with
good quality mobile handsets. As part of our wider telecoms group we sell
20,000 used handsets per month to a wealth of contacts throughout the
UK and Europe. We provide mobile phones for individuals who have lost
their handsets on the train, business people who need a cost effective
replacement, old romantics who crave for something
different, or people who just want something that’s plain good value.
We pride ourselves on the provision of an enjoyable shopping experience,
allowing consumers to browse and learn about the evolution of the mobile
phone, whilst looking for their preferred handset. Perhaps most importantly
we want to ensure that we provide a wide selection of handsets at very
competitive prices.
Retrofone is aimed at a growing number of businesses and individuals
who want to buy unusual, discontinued, or valuable mobile phones. The
mobile phones are split into two distinct groups, working and non working.
The website currently shows just digital working handsets using a small
sim. However, over the next few weeks we will be expanding the site to
include older handsets which are becoming increasingly popular amongst
collectors and mobile phone enthusiasts, despite the fact that they no
longer work on today’s GSM networks.
Rare early models are now changing hands for several hundred pounds
and becoming increasingly sought after. Even the not so rare are popular
sellers with companies buying them for props, or nostalgic individuals
purchasing them for their mantelpiece, or as presents for friends and
relatives. We will be providing an index and images of all our handsets
dating from 1987 to the present day (analogue and digital) so look out
for this from February 2005
All working handsets are unlocked to all GSM service providers (unless
otherwise stated), allowing them to be used on any network in the UK or
Europe (Vodafone, O2 etc) With an unlocked phone all you have to do is
take the sim out of your existing handset and place it in your new phone,
ensure the battery is charged, and the handset is then ready to use.
All Retrofone handsets come with a charger, battery and a link to phone
manuals and are sold in excellent condition with a one month ‘return
to base’ warranty.
